Blue Rose Code

Is sublime an overused word? In this case no, in fact this is sublimier which isn’t a word but it should be, just not used often.

You rarely come across something like Blue Rose Code – the guise of songwriter Ross Wilson – who was drawn to the pace and the hubbub of London from Edinburgh a full eight years ago and released a ‘Double A’ side single with the mesmerizing songs ‘Whitechapel’ and ‘Love’ in 2009 on Ho Hum Records.

The songs soar, they have a quality that will take you away and have you swooning. Perhaps you remember the first time you heard ‘Trouble’ by Ray LaMontagne or ‘Heartbeats’ by Jose Gonzales, the comparisons are not so close but if you like them then google Blue Rose Code, buy their music online and come to the Acoustic Sessions and take a rare opportunity to listen to something so truly beautiful and utterly utterly sublime.
