Charli Shephard

With a powerful voice, catchy songs and a charming live performance she is a familiar face in the local music scene.

Here are some clips of her performance at Malmesbury Acoustic Sessions on bonfire night.

Sherston girl Charli Shephard has been singing since she was a tot and first learnt guitar at the tender age of 11.

Now 17 she has since taught herself piano, drums and bass and impressively she was able to write and perform every instrument on every track on her self-released debut album Brown Eyed Soldier as well as engineer and produce it herself in her home recording studio.

Charli has been described as “Like a teenage female Paul McCartney!” – by Will Walder on BBC Radio and it’s clear that artists like Jessie J, Pixie Lott and Adele have been influences on Charli who has developed into a gifted contemporary female singer songwriter in her own right as is evident on her album.

It will be great to hear stripped down versions of some of her songs at The Malmesbury Acoustic Sessions on Bonfire night – come and support this local talent.
